Informatica.Recon is the open systems intranet platform that creates agile processes for internal CI from RDBMS database, newsfeeds, Web sites, file servers, threaded discussion & email folders and proprietary knowledge silos in a single natural language, federated search interface.
Informatica makes use of common, free tools like the Web browser to unite these disparate sources of explicit knowledge, convert documents to HTML for presentation, and make documents available securely anywhere personnel can get to a Web browser. It also uses intelligent agents to notify users when new knowledge appears and identifies subject matter experts in the directory using metadata. The final piece of the puzzle is usability, integrating email management and contributing to the knowledge-sharing culture to ensure the system will be of benefit.
