Competitive Intelligence is less about telling you where you've been than it is about predicting the future. One of the tools we use for analyzing possible futures is Scenario Planning and by forecasting a range of possible scenarios, planners are able to develop reactions to possible market forces based upon the probability of its occurance and launch of an event threshold.
We will learn how to begin using Scenario Planning to forecast future events as well as how to deal with crisis and events that are unforeseen, using implications' planning tools we will see how isolate alternate future scenarios and plan accordingly, and integrate Scenario Plannning into the long-range planning of the firm.
